BCA Sliding Scale & Payment Guidelines
Sessions range from $45-80
In order to determine your treatment rate, we use an income-based sliding scale. If you’d like to use the sliding scale, we will determine your rate based on your annual family income. We will do this when you schedule your appointment, over the phone, or before your first session, using the income listed on your health history form. If you don’t have a source of income from employment, please estimate your annual income using the source from which you’re currently living, including retirement income/social security/disability/unemployment/savings. If you would prefer not to use the sliding scale or make over $65,000 per year, sessions are $80.
BCA is not a non-profit and does not receive grants or funding from outside sources. We are here because of you and your commitment to your health, and we love what we do.
We ask that you pay in full at the time of your appointment. If you need to cancel your appointment, we ask that you give at least 24 hours notice, so that we may open your appointment slot for someone else. In the event that you don’t contact us 24 hours in advance or do not show up for your appointment, you will be charged for the appointment in full.
We do not bill insurance. However, if you have insurance, we can provide you with a superbill that you may submit to them for reimbursement. We do not call to verify benefits, so make sure you call in advance of your appointment to see if acupuncture will be covered.
We accept cash, check, and credit cards, including HSA and FSA cards.
There is an Initial Intake Fee of $15 in addition to the regular rate determined by the sliding scale for the first visit only
