What is Community Acupuncture?

Broomfield Community Acupuncture is Affordable

BCA's mission is to make acupuncture accessible and affordable for everyone, so we have a sliding scale, with treatment ranging from $25-$55.

Broomfield Community Acupuncture is Community-Minded

BCA is unique from other acupuncture clinics in that you receive your treatment in a community room. We have 2 ultra-comfy recliner chairs and a massage table; each area is separated by screens. This allows you to maintain your privacy, while at the same time, fostering a sense of community and collective energy from people relaxing in unison. Our society tends to be so isolating and "on-the-go"; this is a rare time when people can be together, but remain quiet and still with others present.

Broomfield Community Acupuncture is Effective

At BCA, we see ourselves as part of the solution to healthcare reform. We are healthcare that is holistic, preventative, and affordable. The strength of Chinese medicine lies in its holistic nature. We treat the whole body at each session, because the body is seen as a system of interrelationships that all rely on one another. When one system is out of balance, other systems follow, resulting in disease. At BCA, we focus on rebalancing the body in times of pain, illness or stress, and try to prevent sickness before it occurs. We do this by using tools including acupuncture, Chinese herbs, bodywork, and dietary and lifestyle adjustments. How many times have we all decided against going to the doctor because we were uninsured or couldn't afford our skyhigh deductibles? Now you don't have to hesitate. You can make an appointment for $25-$55 a treatment and get on the road to wellness today. We can treat everything short of a broken bone: allergies, pain, stress, anxiety, insomnia, asthma, headaches, infertility, PMS, menopausal symptoms, and on and on.

Change your life for the better. Be part of something bigger. Broomfield Community Acupuncture: Acupuncture for Every Body.

Meet Our Practitioner

Lindsey Rosso McKoy, L.Ac., Clinic Director, Acupuncturist, Herbalist:

I believe that everyone should have access to healthcare and beyond that, that everyone should have access to many different types of healthcare, be that Western medicine, acupuncture, herbal medicine, chiropractic, naturopathy, or massage, to name a few. Finding the solution to a health problem can be like a grand jigsaw puzzle; there are many pieces and you have to find the perfect fit.

I believe that money should not be the key factor in whether a patient can receive care or not. Having been in private practice, I also know that not many can afford weekly acupuncture treatment at $70 per session, at least not most of my friends and family. Yet acupuncture is highly effective and is used all the time in China, in conjunction with Western medicine. I hope to bridge this gap by creating BCA and making acupuncture more affordable. I have a sliding scale, so treatment is $25-55, and I treat in a community room, so that we can create a collective energy that strengthens the effect of each treatment.

My specialty and passion is women's health, specifically fertility, pregnancy, postpartum and menopause.  I have 15 years of experience in this field, blending the best of both East and West at BCA.  In addition to my training in acupuncture and herbs, I have several years experience working in "Western" women's medicine.  I maintain a close relationship with several ob/gyn docs in the area and am well-versed in both Western and Eastern treatment protocols.  I am available to help women going through IVF embryo transfers, as well as doing home visits for moms who have recently given birth.  I hope to make BCA a gathering space for women's health, where women can go for treatment, support and resources at every life stage.

I'm very excited to be serving the Broomfield and surrounding communities and hope that together, we can create healthy bodies and healthy communities. Please call me if you have questions about acupuncture, herbal medicine, or the unique community-style format that BCA is all about.
